Clinical application of music therapy in treating mental illness

This is a project that focuses on the clinical application of music therapy for mental illness. This study explores the application of music therapy in anxiety disorders, focusing on the causes and treatments of generalized anxiety disorder, social anxiety disorder and separation anxiety disorder. The study analyzes the main causes of anxiety disorders, including biological factors, environmental influences, psychological factors and drug effects, and explores how music can relieve anxiety by regulating emotions, reducing cortisol levels and promoting the secretion of happiness hormones.

For different types of anxiety disorders, the study proposes corresponding music treatment plans, such as using music system-level technology to resolve social anxiety, helping generalized patients express their emotions through music listening, improvisation, composing lyrics and music, and using improvisational music therapy and drum rhythm activities to help children understand separation anxiety. This project confirms that music therapy has potential value in the intervention of anxiety disorders and fills the research gap in this field, but more clinical experiments are still needed in the future to further verify its actual efficacy.
