As my first real game music in Capstone, this is a Rythem Game music for our music game project. Our requirement is a girly and cute style, and the song should be cheerful and sunny. Since the protagonist of our project is a "cat" , I named this song "March of Cat".

I made sure that the main melody line is both clear and unique, and can occupy a prominent position in the mix. This not only enhances the recognition of the melody, but also makes the interaction of the melody player more intuitive. Through careful adjustment of timbre and dynamics, the melody stem can guide the player's emotions, create immersion and drive the game experience. The rhythm of the track is mainly provided by the percussion stem. I chose to match the drum set with high-frequency percussion instruments, which not only enriched the rhythm level, but also provided a distinct rhythm reference for the interaction of the rhythm player. By accurately controlling the intensity and rhythm of the percussion, this stem effectively enhances the dynamics and sense of substitution of the music. The harmonic stem is designed to complement the melody and add depth and layering to the overall timbre. I cleverly use chords and background music to ensure the balance between melody and rhythm in the harmony part. The dynamic changes of the harmonic stem (fading in or out) complement the performance of the melody player, further enriching the interactive experience. In order to maintain the overall rhythmic sense of the music, I introduced non-percussive rhythmic elements such as bass lines and broken chord phrases into the rhythmic stem. These elements provide a solid rhythmic foundation for the music and cooperate with the percussion stem to make the music more layered. The dynamic changes of the rhythmic stem are consistent with the operation of the percussion player to ensure that the interactive effect is natural and smooth. Interms of time signature design, I chose to keep the stability of the time signature of the early levels and avoid using complex rhythmic structures (such as triplets) to ensure that the music matches the player's learning curve. As the level progresses, I gradually introduce subtle rhythmic changes to provide challenges for players while avoiding interfering with the smoothness of the overall game flow.

The whole piece of music has more than 20 tracks. This is one of the largerpieces of music I made. Before making it into electronic music for games, I firstwrote a piano version of the melody on the piano, which can be listened to as afinished music. This music has received extremely high praise in the group.
